Infant Atelier is seeking a warm, observant assistant teacher for a small, relationship-based home infant care nursery in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, CA.

This role supports respectful infant care, free movement, sensory exploration, outdoor play yard time, meals, simple organic meal prep, rest, and the steady routines of a four-child program.

Care setting

A boutique home infant care nursery serving four children maximum.

Age range

Babies and young toddlers, approximately 3 months–24 months.

Current schedule

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8 AM–4 PM.

Helpful qualities

Warmth, patience, steadiness, respect for babies, and comfort with a quiet, observant approach.

Nice to have

Infant experience, CPR/First Aid, child development education, familiarity with RIE®, Waldorf, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia, baby-led feeding experience, and comfort with simple organic meal prep are all welcome. None are expected all at once.

Occasional babysitting opportunities for the Infant Atelier founder’s family may be available, separate from the assistant teacher role.
